- EDIT: Stephen Janas (1-0, 0.00) is now a weekend starter for the Owls. Look for Janas to be able to go around 70-80 this weekend against Mercer, and keep in mind he has yet to give up a run on the year in 10 innings.
- Jordan Hillyer got the start in Tuesday’s loss.
- Nathan Harsh will make his first start of the year for the Owls on Wednesday against Georgia State.
The Owls will be taking on Auburn on Tuesday, followed by a couple of in-state rivals to round out the week. All games will be played in Kennesaw at Stillwell Stadium.
Tuesday 6:00 PM: 12-3 Auburn comes to town for a mid-week match-up against 9-7 KSU. The last time these teams met in late February, the Owls won convincingly. Auburn has won six games in a row, so this should be a great game.
Wednesday 5:00 PM: 11-6 Georgia State drops by Kennesaw for their first meeting of the year. Freshman standout Jordan Hillyer is the likely starter for the Owls.
Friday 6:00 PM: The Owls will take on 14-3 Mercer, who is ranked 10th in the nation RPI wise. This will be the first conference game of the year for KSU, so expect a lot of energy from both teams. Mercer has two starters with an ERA under 2 for the year and a third with an ERA just under 2.15. They also boast an offense that has ten different players hitting at least one homerun so far this year (KSU has 3 homers TOTAL). Travis Dean (2-2, 4.74) is the likely starter and he will face Brandon Barker (2-0 1.90).
Saturday 2:00 PM: vs. Mercer: Kevin Kyle (2-2, 3.09) who went 6 scoreless in his last outing will take the hill.
Sunday 1:00 PM vs. Mercer: Will Solomon (1-2, 4.42) is expected to get the start. He was a hard luck loser this past weekend against Evansville.Follow @KSUOwlHowl
