Owls alum Chad Jenkins earned his first career win Tuesday night in his third career start, as he led the Toronto Blue Jays to a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Jenkins pitched five innings, allowing five hits, one walk and two earned runs. He also struck out a pair and improved his ERA to 4.50. Cam Janssen picked up the save for the Blue Jays.
Jenkins pitched for Kennesaw State from 2007 through 2009 when he was picked 20th overall by the Blue Jays in the entry draft.
